Who am I?

I started my PhD in 2024 at the University of Greenwich, following an MA in Victorian Studies at Birkbeck, which I started in 2020 - enrolling during the first lockdowns. I’ll be studying by PhD part time - so I won’t be finished until around 2030!

During my masters my research was primarily focused on women’s social history in the long-nineteenth century, culminating in a dissertation that sought to understand how women in the long nineteenth century challenged understandings of female identities through needlework.

My PhD research looks at how women of the long-nineteenth century were able to engage with the natural world, a topic I arrived at rather naturally as a combination of my MA interests, alongside my love of gardening.
